Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter a 9 x 9 pan. In mixing bowl, add sugar to berries and stir gently. In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients.
Add butter. Using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter until it is rather loose and crumbly.
Add sugared blackberries to buttered pan, spreading evenly. Top the berries with the dry crumble mix.
Bake in preheated oven at 350° for approximately 40 minutes or until bubbly and topping is golden brown.
Serve with ice cream while still warm!
I found I had extra crumble leftover, so I spread it out on a piece of parchment on a baking sheet.
I baked in the same oven for about 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. Delicious sprinkled on smoothies, yogurt, or eaten like granola!
