Crescent Cheese Danish

These yummy Danishes make a great breakfast for company or just the family. They taste like something from a bakery. And, even better, they are low cost and easy to make.

Crescent Cheese Danish

A delicious breakfast that is so easy. These make any morning special!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Crescent rolls
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened I used light cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tsp milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a medium bowl, mix together softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and white sugar until well combined. Set aside.
  • Open crescent roll tubes. Slice with a sharp knife through the tubes, across the short end. Slices should be about a 1/2 thick. You will get between 6-9 slices per roll, depending on thickness. Press together in the center, forming a well for the filling.
  • Use a brush to spread some melted butter into each slice. Sprinkle with the brown sugar. Add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in center.
  • Bake in preheated oven for about 15-19 minutes or until golden brown. Combine the glaze ingredients and stir until smooth. Drizzle over each warm Danish and enjoy.
